We understand that you may have previously completed coursework at other institutions and are interested in transferring credits to our university. This guide will provide you with important information regarding our transfer credit policy, evaluation process, and the criteria for credit acceptance.
Transfer credit evaluation process:
At URBE University, the evaluation of course content from other universities is conducted on a case-by-case basis. To initiate the evaluation process, you will need to submit the following documents to the Admissions Department:
- Official Transcripts: Submit an official transcript from the institution where you completed the course. This transcript should reflect your grades and academic performance.
Evaluation criteria
To be considered for transfer, the original content must match the content of the corresponding course offered at URBE University. This ensures that the transferred credits align with our academic standards and curriculum.
URBE University recognizes credits from licensed and/or accredited higher education degree-granting institutions. However, please note that we do not accept credits for courses below the college level.
For undergraduate programs at URBE University, a maximum of 75% of credit hours can be applied towards your program requirements. This means that you must complete at least 25% of your degree program credits at URBE University to meet the graduation requirements.
For graduate programs, you can transfer a maximum of 6 credit hours. These transferred credits should align with the specific requirements of your chosen graduate program.
Course recency and grade requirements:
To be eligible for transfer consideration, courses must have been taken within the last ten years. This ensures that the knowledge and skills gained from those courses are current and relevant.
For undergraduate program transfers, a minimum grade of 'C' (equivalent to a 2.0 GPA) or higher is required. For graduate program transfers, a minimum grade of 'B' (equivalent to a 3.0 GPA) or higher is necessary.
Approval process:
The final approval of transfer credits rests with one of our Academic Directors, who will review your transcripts and ensure that the credits meet the requirements of your chosen program.
